windowMaximize,
windowClose,
onMenuEvent,
removeMenuListener
}

Features:
- Environment detection (Electron vs Web)
- Menu event routing to Blazor
- Helper functions for file operations
- Graceful degradation for web mode
Exposed Helpers:
window.electronHelpers = {
showSaveDialog(defaultPath, title),
showOpenDialog(title),
getAppInfo()
}
Menu Events Handled:
- New Grammar
- Open/Save Grammar
- Load Sample
- Export (SVG, PNG, HTML)
- Tab Navigation
- Theme Toggle
- Parse/Validate Grammar
- Generate Diagrams
- Format Grammar

Security Implementation
Following Electron security best practices:
- Context Isolation: Enabled
- Node Integration: Disabled in renderer
- Preload Script: Controlled IPC exposure
- Web Security: Enabled
- External Links: Open in system browser
- Certificate Handling: Localhost-only exception
- Window Creation: Prevented, external links handled
Development Workflow
- Setup
cd src/Minotaur.UI.Electron
npm install
- Development
./start-dev.sh
# or
npm run dev
- Testing
- Building
Integration with Blazor
The Electron app integrates with Blazor through:
- Automatic Server Management
- Starts Blazor Server on app launch
- Monitors server health
- Graceful shutdown on app close
- IPC Communication
- Menu events → Blazor methods
- File dialogs → Native OS dialogs
- App info → Version and environment
- Renderer Integration
- renderer.js loaded in Blazor layout
- Event handlers registered
- Helper functions available
Testing Results
All verification checks pass:
- ✅ .NET SDK found (9.0.305)
- ✅ Node.js found (v20.19.5)
- ✅ npm found (10.8.2)
- ✅ All project files present
- ✅ Blazor UI project located
- ✅ Application icon available
Next Steps
For Developers
- Install Dependencies
cd src/Minotaur.UI.Electron
npm install
- Run in Development Mode
- Test the Integration
- Verify all menu items work
- Test keyboard shortcuts
- Check file dialogs
- Confirm Blazor UI loads
- Build Packages
For Integration
- Add renderer.js to Blazor
- Copy to wwwroot/electron/
- Reference in MainLayout.razor
- Create ElectronIntegrationService
- Handle file operations
- Detect Electron environment
- Provide helper methods
- Implement Menu Handlers
- Add JSInvokable methods
